BlueStar Announces Néstor Talavera Montalvo as New Caribbean Business Development Manager

Based out of Puerto Rico, Talavera will hold the title of Caribbean Business Development Manager for BlueStar’s Latin America division, and will lead BlueStar’s efforts to further expand into the Latin America market, specifically, the Caribbean region. This will include bringing more vendors’ products into BlueStar for distribution, increasing sales of current vendors’ products, and broadening our Latin America marketing and sales presence. In addition, Talavera is trained in BlueStar’s FUSION business-development program and will help integrate the program with Latin America VARs throughout the region.

BlueStar to Distribute LXE Tx700 and Tx800 Vehicle Mount Computers

The LXE Tx700 and Tx800 rugged products, formerly offered by Åkerströms Trux, are based on modular-design architecture that delivers a flexible solution that can be easily tailored to meet the customer's needs. Both devices are available with a range of processor and memory options; and both are engineered to operate in tough logistics environments.
The Tx700 was designed for brutal treatment in an industrial environment over the long-term. Extra reinforcement is built into the card and screen holders, cabling, and mounting brackets. The Tx700 features a bright 12.1-in. SVGA or XGA display with a hardened touchscreen. It is available with a 600-MHz Celeron Mobile or 1.4-GHz Pentium Mobile processor and comes with an 802.11 b/g radio.
The Tx800 also features a bright hardened touchscreen, only its display is a 10.4-in. SVGA. It is IP65-secured and is also available with a 600-MHz Celeron Mobile or 1.4-GHz Pentium Mobile processor and comes with an 802.11 b/g radio. The Tx800 is service-minded with a service lid that makes it easy for users to: Change the hard drive; change the battery; reach yet another USB 2.0 port to booth the PC from USB stick; and to change Mini-PCI card.
Options for both the Tx700 and the Tx800 include: memory, Bluetooth, and various software applications such as terminal emulation and on-screen soft keyboard.
